Refresh Your Morning Routine For Spring
Share
It’s gonna sound so cliché, but springtime is perfect for new beginnings.
With these warmer months comes the chance for you to change your life completely. Make your dream board on Pinterest (shh..you can find us there too!), write a list about all the things you want to achieve this year and start working on them.
Also, do not wait for the perfect time, because there is no such thing. Only you can make the decision, and with that the first step, which is always the hardest.
We believe that with every small step you are creating a better version of yourself, concentrating on your wellbeing and mental health.
Try to implement small but strong changes, and make your new lifestyle a habit. Creating routines could be the key element for your idealised everyday.
WAYS TO REFRESH YOUR MORNING ROUTINE 🔆
Let’s start with, why your morning routine is so important.
Your reaction to the things that happen to you throughout the day are greatly influenced by your morning. Implementing a routine to your day gives you a sense of control. It improves your focus, organisation, and productivity, therefore it gives you a sense of control.
Don't forget to make time for self-care every single day, because we all can easily get caught up with our day-to-day responsibilities and work life, not even mentioning the stress factor, and the utterly awful feeling of forgetting about something important.
1. Wake up on time
This is probably the hardest part, as the moment you don’t get enough sleep, the moment you wake up late. Running late makes you anxious and stressed out, and you most likely will leave something important at home, or you will start a meeting unprepared if you are working from home.
Calculate how much time your ideal morning consumes and set your alarm, at first it will be hard, but eventually after a couple of weeks you will get used to it.
2. Have mindful moments
Do not reach out for your phone first thing in the morning, instead get up and make yourself a cup of tea or just drink some water and be with your own thoughts.
At the beginning you will have to fight with yourself , as all the responsibilities and negative thoughts would be the first things to come to your mind. But as time goes on, and you start practising this step more and more, your thoughts surely will do a positive turn.
3. Move your body
Keeping your body and your mind happy go hand in hand. Sitting in front of a computer all day long has many side effects, and not just in the short term: it will strain your eyes, kill your posture, reduce your flexibility, and generally make you feel miserable.
Lucky for all of us, people started to realise that we don’t have much time for workouts, there are plenty of online videos and even apps with morning stretches and quick yoga sessions, easily accessible for everyone.
4. Be productive
Being productive in the morning time can be quite challenging, especially for the night owls. Starting your work or study time takes a lot of self-control, but I find that getting through your hardest tasks first will boost your mood and make you really motivated. I also like to take a quick walk or run around the block to get some fresh air and delete any negativity around me.
