World Mental Health Day 2021

World Mental Health Day 2021

World Mental Health Day, 10th October.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on people’s mental health. Some groups, including health and other frontline workers, students, people living alone, and those with pre-existing mental health conditions, have been particularly affected.

During this year’s WHO's World Mental Health Day campaign will showcase the efforts made in some of the countries and encourage you to highlight positive stories as part of your own activities, as an inspiration to others.

They will also provide new materials, in easy-to-read formats, of how to take care of your own mental health and provide support to others too.

Supporting Caring Causes

The Sun & My Soul started with my personal issues experiencing mental health problems. Growing up with mental health issues, I felt so alone. It taught me how important is to build a healthy and caring relationship with myself, and it became my priority.

Every time I practice yoga, connect with nature or clear my head through journaling, I know I’m investing in my mental health.

Since that, bringing awareness to mental health became my purpose. I created The Sun & My Soul to empower women to take care of themselves mentally, physically and spiritually — not only on special occasions, but every single day. ✨

Through our work and our words, we strive to end the stigma that still surrounds conversations about mental health. We hope the stories we share inspire women to speak freely about their struggles and know they are not alone.

We believe self-care can relieve the symptoms of mental health problems and ease the road to recovery. But we also know that self-care is a practice, not a cure.

That’s why we always donate part of our profits to mental health organisations across the UK that share our mission of ending the stigma surrounding mental health.

By providing educational resources, financial aid, diagnosis and emotional support to people living with mental health problems, these organisations are paving the way to a kinder world where no one has to suffer in silence.
